Senior Lindsay Burke Chosen For Papal EncounterOn Saturday, April 19, Kennedy Catholic senior Lindsay Burke will be one of only 27 students in the Archdiocese of New York—and only a handful from Westchester—to meet Pope Benedict XVI at St. Joseph's Seminary in Yonkers. Lindsay and another student from North Rockland High School will be presenting His Holiness with the gift white bread, symbolizing the cultural heritages of Western Europe, North American and Oceania. Still Time To Sign Up And Travel To The Holy Land This SummerIf you’ve ever wanted to make a pilgrimage to the Holy Land, here’s your chance. Join your Kennedy Catholic president, Father Stephen Norton, along with Father Ed Cipot, as they take you to some of the most renowned sites in Biblical history from Aug. 11-20. Your pilgrimage will include stops at Mount Tabor, site of the Transfiguration, a boat ride across the Sea of Galilee, and visits to the Mount of Olives and the Garden of Gethsemane, among others.
The cost of this pilgrimage, which departs from JFK International Airport, is $2,499. There is a $300 deposit due by April 11. The balance, along with the necessary taxes and tips ($357), is due to Unitors Inc. by June. 10. Transportation to and from JFK airport will be determined by the number of people coming from the northern Westchester area.
