Special Education

Kennedy Catholic has a number of students who are given special accommodations based on testing done by their local school district.

As a private Catholic School, Kennedy does not have a special education department; therefore some of these accommodations cannot be met. We try to do our best with what we have, and believe we do a great job at it.

Kennedy’s policy is to grant these accommodations to the best of our ability. Formal extended time and separate location are given for PSAT's, Regent Exams, Mid-Terms and Finals. Students who are given extended time, for class work and tests; the teacher has the choice to determine the best way for the individual to finish testing. Kennedy policy prohibits a student from missing their next class to finish a test in a previous class.

It is understood that our faculty handles these "special needs" student with ease.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to discuss with our guidance department.
