Latest News & Events
New College Meeting Schedule
Attention all junior students (and parents) whose last name begins in C and E-K: please consult the College Meeting Schedule to confirm the time for your meeting.  Much has changed due to the number of snow days incurred over the past two weeks.  Parents, if you cannot make the scheduled meeting for your child, Mrs. White will still meet with your child on the date posted.  Thank you for your patience and attention to this important change.

Also, please be reminded that all of Ms. Morando’s College Meeting appointments have been cancelled. Each of her students will be receiving a new appointment via mail.  Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

College Notes
All seniors who request their midyear grades to be sent to colleges were to submit a midyear request form to Mrs. O’Donnell.  This form was distributed in homeroom earlier in the month.  Also, any student who has been accepted with scholarship to any college must submit a copy of that letter to his or her guidance counselor.
Health Office Update

We have been informed by the Health Office that there has recently been an increase in students with mild upper respiratory symptoms.  Most of these students do NOT have fevers but are uncomfortable and congested.  Mild symptoms should be treated with lots of good nutrition, rest and increased fluid intake.  If your child does have a fever, please do not send him/her back to school until fever free for 24 hours.  Notify your physician and follow these recommendations:  students are recommended to keep a large box of Kleenex in their lockers to be used as needed - small packs can be obtained from any local supermarket, CVS or Rite Aid, etc. and can be carried in their backpacks; the less exposure to the nurses office (when not ill) the better; students might consider keeping refillable water bottles with them; handwashing is key to good health.

Lets stay well during these approaching winter months.  Keep in contact with your pediatrician for the vaccine for H1N1 if you decide to obtain this for your son/daughter.  Please don’t hesitate to call or email the Health Office with any questions or concerns.
